Democrat Party Turning on Biden? Shocking New Poll

Just 25% of Democrats want President Joe Biden to run for reelection next year, according to a poll from Monmouth University released Monday.

The poll, which was conducted from March 16 to March 20 with a total of 542 Democratic respondents, found that only a quarter of them said they want Biden to run for reelection next year, while 44% of participants said Biden should step aside and let another Democrat run for president in 2024. The other roughly 30% said they had no preference.

For the 44% who wanted someone else to run for the Democratic nomination, Vice President Kamala Harris was the favorite to replace Biden, securing 13% of the vote. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) each received 6% of the vote. Another 4% voted for Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and 3% chose Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA).

When it came to the likability of the current president, 74% of respondents said they had a favorable view of Biden, while just 14% said they had an unfavorable view. Read more…
